Flash Forward – The Story
Flash Forward starts its story introducing us to the main characters but a strange and unexpected mysterious event suddenly affects the whole planet, everyone blacks out for exactly two minutes and seventeen seconds everywhere causing panic, chaos and widespread confusion. It doesn’t matter what you are doing at the time the blackout is involuntary, if you are driving, flying or performing a surgical operation on a patient and you will still black out and the resulting carnage causes people to wonder what is happening.
During the black out everyone experiences a vision, or an experience where they see themselves six months in the future, which works out on the show to around April the 29th in 2010. The interesting thing is the vision is different for everyone and is soon coined a Flash Forward, a vision into the future.
A duo of FBI agents Mark Benford and Demetri Noh are chasing a group of criminals when the Flash Forward occurs and later they begin the job of piecing together what happened along with her colleagues and families, trying to work out what happened in those two minutes. With some help they being to piece together a database of the visions from around the world in an attempt to plot the future.
In Flash Forward everyone is trying to work out how their vision affects them and whether there is anything they can do about the events they saw. We also get to see that at least one person has not been affected at all by the Flash Forward, Janis Hawk an FBI agent working with Benford and Noh finds some CCTV footage thats shows a figure dressed all in black at the time the Flash Forward occurred, but they are completely unaffected while everyone around them is unconscious. How did they do this? are they responsible or involved with the Flash Forward in some way?
